Don’t use the disc The OBDII reader works fine. Do not use the disc that comes with it. I opened it up to see what was on it and found links to adult websites and random programs that I am guessing are viruses.

Great for the price The adapter came in the condition described and included a software CD. It has worked pretty well so far, and I’ve used it with my android device’s car diagnostic app (such as torque II) without complaint. Overall, it’s a great product for the price–no issues. What I did find a little confusing were the different programs on the CD, how to run them, and what they did; and though of no consequence since I use the adapter only to connect to the car’s computer, the CD was neither helpful nor…

Plug it in, roll the ignition. Scan for bluetooth devices on your phone. Enter 1234 to partner.The Torque app picked it up as OBD. I retrieved a few engine codes and cleared them out successfully.As mentioned, I wouldn’t run the included disk. The torque app looks up the codes and they are also easy to look up in your vehicle specific online forums.
